  • Safeguards Rule Compliance Kit
    • General Questions
      • How much does the Safeguard Rule Compliance Kit cost?
        • The kit costs $495 plus shipping and handling and applicable taxes.
      • How do I know how many to order?
        • You need one kit for each dealership with its own autonomous F&I and business office. (For example, if you have one new car dealership and one used car dealership next door to one another and each has its own F&I office, but they share a business office, you require one kit. If they each have their own F&I office and their own business office, you require two kits.)
      • Can I get a discount?
        • Some AFIP Industry Members may offer discounts. See our roster of Industry Members to locate one that already services your dealership.
      • I’d like to receive a Safeguards Kit to use as a display when I’m showing it to clients.
        • You may purchase a kit at the wholesale price to use as a display model.
      • Is the Kit easy to use?
        • Yes. It comes with complete instructions in plain English, an orientation video and checklists to help you determine what areas need attention. It also comes with a CD of pre-written templates (Word .doc format) for which you simply fill in blanks and answer questions (policy templates, employee affirmation statements and more). Some additional modification may be required for certain dealerships.
      • Do I have to be a lawyer to install the program?
        • No. The kit is intended for use by dealership employees, but you should have a qualified lawyer review your completed program and provide written documentation that they believe it satisfies the requisites of the rule.
      • Should I have a lawyer review the program before I consider it completed?
        • Yes. You should have a qualified lawyer review your completed program and provide written documentation that they believe it satisfies the requisites of the rule.
    • Ordering
      • How do I order?
        • The best way to order is online. Orders placed online are more likely to go out on time (because you are less likely to omit information), are more likely to arrive on time, and are easier for you to track.

If you cannot submit orders online, you can provide the information requested in the online order form and email it to or fax it to 817.428.2534. AFIP is not responsible for delayed orders due to late submission or incomplete information.

Orders must be received by 12 pm Central to be considered received that day. Expedited orders are subject to product availability and time of submission and are not guaranteed. You will be charged for shipping and may select any shipping method you so choose.
      • How long will it take to receive my order?
        • It takes between five and seven business days from the date of the order. Orders must be received by 12 pm Central to be considered received that day. Expedited orders are subject to product availability and time of submission and are not guaranteed. You will be charged for shipping and may select any shipping method you so choose.
      • How do I check the status of an order?
        • Yes. We audit incoming tests by name. If your name isn’t in our records, there is the possibility of double-billing.
      • Can I be invoiced for my order?
        • Yes. At this time, AFIP offers the option of receiving an invoice after you place your order. This is only available for orders placed online. However, for companies and individuals who have never ordered from AFIP or who have a history of late or nonpayment (or for any other reason not listed here) AFIP may request payment before shipping the order. Soon, we will require payment on all orders through our online shopping cart.
      • What is AFIP’s pricing and payment policy?
        • Prices listed are AFIP's retail rates. A place is provided when you order to list the organization recommending the materials or provide us with their coupon code. You must select this organization or provide the coupon code to qualify for any special offers they present.

You will be billed for the materials you order (paid or free), plus shipping and handling and any applicable taxes. AFIP reserves the right to require prepayment at any time for any reason (AFIP will contact you if it is determined you qualify for prepayment). Otherwise, you will be invoiced shortly after shipment. The invoice you receive is payable upon receipt.

You should ensure you have the authority to commit the individual or company named as billable to payment. AFIP is not responsible for internal authority disputes, but reserves the right to require payment from the individual who placed the order if the named billable is able to prove that individual did not have the authority to commit the named billable to payment.

If AFIP ships materials previous to receiving payment and the individual or company responsible for payment has an outstanding invoice for more than 90 days after the date of shipment, the account will be turned over for collection and the result of that action reported to credit reporting agencies. The individual or company responsible for payment will be required to make payment in full plus any fees associated with the collection of the debt, whether the claim is pursued by an attorney or a collection agency, in order to satisfy the obligations of that debt. Once an account has been turned over to collections, the product cannot be returned for credit.
      • What is AFIP’s return/refund policy?
        • If you need to return material purchased from AFIP for any reason, you must do so within 30 days of the date of shipment (see Disclaimers for Refund upon Return below). To qualify for a refund (minus shipping and handling), please ship all materials in their original condition to:

          AFIP ATTN: Returned Materials

          Colleyville, Texas 76034

You must return at least some portion of the material to qualify for a partial refund
          Shipping costs are not refundable
You are responsible for the cost of returning items you ordered
AFIP will determine the amount of refund for which you qualify on an individual basis based on the status of the returned materials (items missing or damaged will decrease the amount of your refund)
