AFIP Accredited Facilitator Agreement

To become an AFIP Accredited Facilitator, you must meet the following qualifications.

1. You must have been teaching the AFIP material on a regular basis for three or more years or be a professor or teacher at an accredited graduate or undergraduate university offering the program or be trained by AFIP with verifiable experience training for like programs.

2. You must have had no serious (justified) complaints about your AFIP Certification (or other) teaching methods and have had no instances or suspected instances of a lapse in AFIP Certification training or testing protocol.

3. You must be AFIP Certified and properly maintain your certification according to AFIP’s established policies.

4. You must display a mastery of the state and federal laws and industry-related ethical conduct. You must never give advice or comment on a topic of which you have no knowledge or experience. You must never distribute, verbally or in writing, legal advice (unless you are a qualified attorney).

5. In the absence of a longstanding business relationship with AFIP (which would allow AFIP to make such a judgment of our own accord), you must provide references from industry-recognized persons who can attest to your skills as a trainer, your knowledge of the industry, and your ethical behavior in the execution of your training or other duties.

6. You must at all times act with integrity and professionalism during the mentorship, training and testing duties of the AFIP Certification Program or any other course or program for which you act as trainer or facilitator.

7. You must agree to follow the letter and the spirit of the AFIP Proctor’s Affirmation Statement located in the AFIP Certification exam and any and all other stipulations or policies enacted by AFIP or one of it’s representatives.

8. You understand that your AFIP Accredited Facilitator status is conferred only upon you as an individual, and not on your company and fellow employees (unless they have directly applied for equal status with AFIP). As such, the proctoring (and other) duties granted you as a result of your accredited status are non-transferrable. You must not allow others to proctor exams or conduct other accredited facilitator duties on your behalf, whether or not they are AFIP Certified.

9. You must agree never to represent yourself as a direct representative of AFIP or do or say anything that could negatively impact AFIP’s reputation as the sanctioning body of the F&I trade.

10. You must keep in confidence any and all information regarding the nature of the AFIP exam or other confidential materials or candidate information and agree never to use, copy or plagiarize the copyrighted contents or format of AFIP’s Certification Course or other products and services, whether or not you benefit, to the detriment of AFIP’s interests unless specifically granted permission in writing by the executive director or other senior executive of AFIP.
